RAYA FROM MONACO WINS THE PUNTALDIA MELGES 20 GRAND PRIX WHILE AMONG THE MELGES 32 THE PROVISIONAL LEADER IS THE NORWEGIAN PIPPA IN THE CHALLENGE THAT WILL END TOMORROW.

Puntaldia (Olbia Tempio), 22 April 2023 – The first seasonal stage of the Puntaldia Grand Prix ended today on the Puntaldia regatta field for the Melges 20 class while the same Grand Prix will continue until tomorrow for the Melges 32 fleet.

The name of the first winner in the Melges World League 2023 in the Melges 20 fleet is the Monegasque Raya of Matteo Marenghi Vaselli (with the Croatian Tomislav Basic as tactician) who put the arrow on the last day of racing with two bullets (for a total of 12 points), he preceded his compatriot Vladimir Prosikhin in the general standings by only two points (with the Spanish Manu Weiller), who was tied with the third, Dario Levi's Fremito d'Arja (with Stefano Cherin on tactics).

First in the Corinthian classification is B.Lex by Benedetta Iovane (Slovenian Branko Brcin as tactician).

The second and penultimate day of regatta for the Melges 32 class also took place today with the reigning World Champion, the Norwegian Pippa of Lasse Petterson (with Gabriele Benussi) that, after the discard, is two points ahead of the couple formed by Claudia Rossi's Petite Terrible (with Diego Negri) and the German Heat, Max Augustin's Corinthian team, the absolute protagonist on the opening day.

Tomorrow the last two races of the program will define the final classification also of the Melges 32 class in the Puntaldia Grand Prix 1 of the Melges World League 2023.
