Audi Melges 20 Hits The Big 30

The 2010 Audi Melges 20 Sailing Series couldn’t possibly get any hotter! Thirty teams stormed the cool and highly competitive waters of Scarlino, Italy this past weekend. Congratulations to Scarlino champion Benedetto Giallongo with Francesco Scarselli at the tiller of Value Team and tactician Henry Fonda. Kudos also to second place finisher Luca Domenici on Notaro Team and Stefano di Properzio on Hulk in third. Get ready for more big fleet action at Riva del Garda on June 12-13 as the fleet works its way up to, a potential 40+ on the line for the Gold Cup Regatta in Malcesine on July 22-25. Notice Of Race Now Available For U.S. National Championship

One of the hottest one design events being held in the USA is the 2010 Audi Melges 20 U.S. National Championship on August 27-29, hosted by Macatawa Bay Yacht Club in Holland, Mich. Early participation estimates put this event at 25+, so now is the time to prepare to attend. Awesome parties are already in the works! Download A Notice Of Race (NOR) and be THERE!

Be Race Ready — Always

As the International Audi Melges 20 Class Association grows by tremendous leaps and bounds, prior to each regatta, there are some specifics that teams need to be aware of ensuring that they are race legal and compliant with class rules. By the close of registration, all teams must declare their crew and present a valid sail declaration. Most importantly, sail limitation marks and royalty buttons need to be placed properly. All owners and helmsman, who are not owners of the class MUST Join the IM20CA in order to be considered members.
